Voices of Impact

A Parent’s Relief Through the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

For years, a single mother in Ontario postponed her own dental care to prioritize her children. When she began experiencing constant pain from an untreated cavity, she felt she had no choice but to endure it.

After becoming eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan, she was finally able to see a dentist without worrying about cost. In her own words, “I was so relieved to know I could finally get the care I needed.” After her treatment, the pain that had affected her sleep and work disappeared. More importantly, her confidence and comfort returned.

Her story reflects a reality shared by many Canadians: when dental care becomes accessible, people can focus on living - not suffering.
