The Molar Mission

Passion & Profession

Dedicated to Improving Oral Health

The Molar Mission began as an idea shaped by where I come from and what I grew up seeing. As the daughter of immigrant parents in Ontario, I watched them face barriers to dental care, and that made oral health personal to me. I learned early on that access should not depend on someone’s background or circumstances, and that belief became the vision behind this organization.

With the help of passionate volunteers, that idea grew into a non-profit focused on making dental education and dental access realistic for everyone, especially underserved communities. We stay up to date on changes in Canadian dental care, from public health updates to new programs like the CDCP, which we actively explain so people know how to access the support available to them.

Outside of this work, I work in a dental office, where I am the first point of contact for patients. Seeing their worries, questions, and relief up close reminds me why I want to become a dentist and why this mission matters so much. I have been fortunate to interview at several dental schools, and no matter where I train, I will carry the same purpose that inspired The Molar Mission into my career.

This organization showed me how powerful a single idea can become when supported by a caring community. My goal is to continue expanding our work throughout Ontario, across Canada, and eventually throughout North America. As The Molar Mission grows, I hope to build strong partnerships within dental schools and connect with people who share the commitment to making oral health accessible and welcoming for all.

The Molar Mission has shaped my journey in ways that continue to guide the dentist and leader I hope to become.

Our Mission

Our mission at The Molar Mission is to improve oral health access and education across Ontario. We provide essential oral care items to underserved and homeless communities, and we continue to adapt our services as needs evolve. Through partnerships and generous donations, we support pro bono dental work and educate Canadians on programs like the CDCP so they can understand and access the care they deserve. Our goal is to keep expanding our reach and strengthening oral health support across the province.
